What is a lean bulk?
A lean bulk is a controlled calorie surplus designed to maximize muscle gain while limiting fat gain. Most lifters gain optimally on a surplus of 200-500 kcal per day, aiming for 0.25-0.5% of body weight gained per week. Higher surpluses speed muscle growth slightly but add significantly more body fat.
