Body Fat Percentage Ranges

What are body fat percentage categories?

Body fat percentage categories classify how much of your total body weight is fat tissue. Men and women have different ranges because women carry more essential fat for reproductive and hormonal function - women need 10–13% minimum vs. 2–5% for men. Most healthy adults fall in the 14–24% range for men and 21–31% range for women.
