What are strength standards?
Strength standards compare your lifts to population-level data based on body weight and sex. A 1.5× bodyweight squat is typically considered intermediate for men, while a 2× bodyweight squat reaches advanced. Standards help you set realistic goals and track long-term progress.

Quick Facts
How it works: Your lift is divided by your bodyweight to produce a ratio. That ratio is compared against population-level standards for your sex. A 180 lb man squatting 270 lb has a 1.5× ratio, placing him at intermediate level.
